Alive and Kickin’
Yes, I'm officially better. Saturday I went to the grocery store and to Walgreen's with mom. Gayle wanted to come over and make hamburgers for Duncan for lunch and I needed more propane for the grill (Walgreen's). I also figured Gayle might not have buns and lettuce for hamburgers. I didn't either so a trip to the store was in order. After that little jaunt I stayed in the rest of the day. Mom took Duncan to his 7 o' clock basketball game. Cal and I chose to rest at home.
Sunday was Mother's Day and we slept in. I made breakfast for us since we skipped church school and the Hungry Frog breakfast. The kids and I went to Borders around noon to pick up some gift cards for the two moms. Being sick I hadn't been able to buy mother's day gifts. Then we drove to mom's and along with my brother we all went to Joe's Crab Shack around 2:30 for a late lunch. Hung out at mom's until close to 6 then went home and hit the hay early. I did well but felt tired most of the day.
Monday I can't remember what the hell I did beyond getting Duncan off to school. Tidied and washed clothes I think.
Tuesday I subbed for Tracey a half day and got my hairs cut. We ate a fabulous Chinese dinner at the Diamond Express and then drove to the SCU basketball facilities only to find that the last shooting skills class happened the previous Tuesday. Back home after that, much earlier than I expected.
Today I also subbed for Tracey a half day and then mom, Cal and I went to see The Wiggles in concert at the Ford Center. The Wiggles put on a great show. The place was packed with kids all dancing and singing along to the songs. Cal decided to get shy and refused to sing or dance. Oh well. He is my child after all. Being contrary and doing exactly the opposite of everyone around him is hardwired into his genetic code. He did say he liked the show afterward though.
After The Wiggles we went out to dinner with mom. Yes, I've got to get back into the cooking thing soon. Being sick is hell on my routine. Anyway I feel even better today. I'm less tired at the end of the day and my stomach is being less finicky. Hooray for health!
