Cal and I are finally back from Mat Tots and getting my week's comics and eating lunch with Mike. We had to drive him back to the office because the Neon is in the shop. It's been acting up and dying mysteriously. The sad thing is every time we'd have it towed to the mechanic the damn thing would start and nothing would show up on the computer readout. We finally broke down and had it towed to the dealership after it conked out on the way to work. Once again the damn thing started up and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. They've kept it all week and one of the mechanics at the dealership drove it around. It finally did what it's been doing to Mike and evidently they now have some idea of where to look. I just hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
I just turned 40 and I'm already starting to show my age. Tuesday night I had a vigorous round of riding the recumbent bike. Went to bed, slept fine. Woke up the next morning with an incredibly sore and swollen big toe on my right foot. As a result I've been icing it and limping for the past couple of days. It acts like I sprained my big toe but I can't for the life of me figure out how. Did I do some kicking in my sleep? Pull something while riding the bike? I only know it's incredibly sad to be limping around because of a sprained big toe.
Last week we had snow. This week we've had a couple of days of 80+ temps. Yesterday it almost hit 90. Cal was outside playing in the water it was so warm. Wacky Oklahoma weather. Today it's a bit cooler--60s and overcast. Still quite nice and I'm happy to have the heat off. We're supposed to get rain but none has arrived yet beyond a few scattered sprinkles. Think good thoughts for us.
Okay. Off to iron.
