Slow But Sure

The new year is starting out well. I've been working on thinning out Cal's toys. He has a ton of baby toys that he no longer plays with and it's time to box them up for donation to a thrift store or to save for future grandchildren. Probably the former on most of them. I did that to Duncan's room this summer and it may be time to store his Legos. He doesn't seem interested in playing with them these days. Bummer.

This week I've run a few errands with mom then come home to work in the house. Cal went home with mom today (and yesterday), which makes my toy sorting job a lot easier. Monday's toy sorting was kinda slowed down because he kept pulling out crap I'd throw in the storage bin.

My main computer is now up and running. The only thing I haven't done is restore data. All major programs (except for ComicBase) are on the computer and everything runs so much smoother. No longer do I have an interminable wait for the thing to load up or shut down. I'm not having as many freezing up issues either. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way for at least a year. It always makes me nervous when Mike does a wipe. I'm afraid I'm going to lose something important.

I did change one thing. I had Mike put Outlook instead of Outlook Express for my email. This way I can be a big geek and sync my pocket pc calendar with my email reader. It's really nice. Outlook is different enough from Outlook Express that it's going to take a little bit of getting used to but so far I haven't gotten too frustrated.

Okay. It's after 2 and I must get some things done here before Duncan gets home and we head off to TKD.
