Not too surprising that I got absolutely nothing of substance done yesterday. Okay, I did clean the toilet but that's easy. I also managed to get in a short nap which helped a lot (Cal was at mom's). By the time TKD rolled around I was able to drive without yawning.
Gayle came over last night and watched the kids while Mike and I had a date night. We ended up rushing to get to the movie on time so didn't have time for a relaxing dinner. A quick pizza and salad in the mall food court doesn't count. I'm happy to report the movie was worth the rush. The 40 Year Old Virgin has been receiving good reviews and word of mouth. I was a little afraid it might not live up to the hype even though it was directed and co-written by Judd Apatow the man behind one of my favorite canceled tv shows Freaks and Geeks.
I'm happy to report it was damn funny. The scene where Steve Carell's character Andy gets a chest wax is worth the price of admission alone. And I'd totally spaced that Catherine Keener was in this movie. You know a movie is worth seeing if the lovely Ms. Keener is in it. In short, if you like wacky adult comedies with lots of lowbrow humor, go see this movie.
Today Cal has Mat Tots again. We've got Tae Kwon Do after school and then will go to the PTA Hot Dog Supper at the school. Mike has to get his flyers out for the Reflections Program. He was hit up to head it for PTA and after all the crappy shenanigans by our PTA last year he felt like he should be part of the new blood and do more than just pay his $3. Better him than me I say. I am being a good wife and helping him. I did the flyer for him last night as a matter of fact and I'm willing to do any scut work so I'm not entirely without a conscience.
Okay, off to shower and try and get something done this morning before getting to read for an hour at Mat Tots.
