Revisiting an Old Friend

So I've been sick all weekend. I didn't go to church school today and by the time I woke up from my long nap I was going a little stir crazy. I wanted to go to the bookstore yesterday but we never got around to it. And I was sneezing a lot so it's not like being in a bookstore would have been a good thing. But we made it there today and I picked up a CD I've been wanting for a long time...Judy at Carnegie Hall.

I've owned this album for many years but I've never replaced my record copy. Strange too because this has long been one of my all time favorite albums. I like it so much it would be on my list of albums to be stuck on a desert island with.

Today I indulged in something I haven't been able to do in a long time...I lay on my bed and listened to Judy at Carnegie Hall with my headphones on. It's hard to describe the feeling I get when I listen to this album. Suffice it to say that when I was a kid listening to this record, it made me wish time travel were real so I could go back in time and attend this concert. No high-falutin' historical event for me, no sirree. I'd want to be smack dab in the middle of the audience for this concert.
