Update Time

Not much has been happening at the Hodge Lodge this week. I've been attempting to get my house ready for the non-STAR folks to come over Saturday for a cook out. My kitchen cabinets are now mostly clear. The living room gets tidied and ten minutes later it's a wreck again. Cal has decided building forts with every pillow makes for a grand time.

The weather has turned a bit cooler and rainy here. Kind of a bummer really. It probably won't be hot enough to swim today. We did need the rain though. And I must admit that I'm ready for a good thunderstorm.

Today mom and I are going to take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch. Why torture ourselves? Well, Cal went when we were in Seattle and he's got a buttload of tokesn left over. Plus he really had a good time and Duncan likes to play the games there. I may take my lunch in and avoid the pizza. It's horribly overpriced and not that good. And, as always, I'll have my book.

Maybe I'll get out and mow the backyard today. Duncan is supposed to do it but he's been dragging his heels. I warned him that if he didn't mow it I would and he'd miss out on the $10. That's $10 less for his X-box 360. I might make him do it Saturday. Mike needs to get back there and move the remains of our neighbor's Redbud tree that fell on our fence. Then I can weed eat while Duncan mows.

Okay. I must get my ass in gear. The clothes won't wash and fold themselves.
