Life or Something Like It

More rain in my neck of the woods today. Rained yesterday too but only in the morning. It's supposed to do the same thing today which means I can look forward to humid heat later. Right now though it's blissfully cool and wet. Odd for us in August really. This is usually the month we don't have to mow that often. At this rate, Duncan's going to have to mow again this weekend. I'm sure mom's will definitely need it.

Speaking of mom, she's coming back from vacation tomorrow. She sounded relaxed and like she was having a good time when I spoke with her. We're skipping Tae Kwon Do on Wednesday (went yesterday instead) and picking her up at the airport around 4. I'm sure Cal will do what he did when we came home from Seattle and run to her, arms outstretched and give her a big, long hug. Makes you feel good to be that loved.

Today I'm going to start tackling the computer room. It's a big job and one I've been avoiding. I desperately need to redo the big closet though because I need some place to put all of the crap we brought in from the garage. And I hate the fact that my comic boxes aren't in alphabetical order. I don't know where anything is when I'm looking for it and have to resort to pulling out a box and lifting the lid. Finally after about ten tries I'll find what I'm looking for but those boxes are heavy. And the higher ones are tough to look inside. Yeah, yeah, I know, why didn't I put them in the closet in alphabetical order the first time. Dunno. Figured I'd get around to it before now I guess. Then ended up throwing a whole bunch of other shit in there that made getting to the boxes tough. Live and learn.
