3x Thursday

1. Did you ever think you'd actually 'grow up, get married, have a family, etc'? Did you? If not, why not?

I always wanted kids. Figured I'd grow up and get married to have 'em. Not sure why I believed that. It's not like I had people beating down my door to date me in high school. Just always figured I'd have kids one day much to the surprise of my friends who seemed to have me pegged as a loner, never-have-kids type.

2. What did you want to be when you grew up? What are you now? Do they match?

Didn't know. Still don't know so I guess they match. Right now I'm a stay-at-home mom and I never imagined that's what I'd be doing. My mom didn't have the luxury of staying at home with us. I'm not one of those people who resented that either. I didn't purposefully set out to stay at home with the kids it just kind of worked out that way. That'll probably change when Cal hits school full time.

3. Did you really think it'd be *this* hard?

Ask me this question again when Duncan hits puberty. Seriously I knew it would be hard but I don't believe I've hit the "this hard" stage yet. The toughest thing has been keeping my relationship healthy with Mike. You lose track of how much you're not connecting when you're dealing with kids and jobs and life.

Bonus Question for Comments: Name the artist who sings the title of this week's 3x Thursday. No cheating!!! Sorry. I have no clue.
