Okay...I’m not addicted to Ebay....
Really. I'm not. However, I have been spending an inordinate amount of time lately getting stuff up and ready for auction. This has resulted in blogging about my boring life slowing down to a crawl. Well, a complete stop really. Sorry. I'll try to do better.
Let's see...what have we been up to at the Hodge Lodge. School and getting ready for Special Olympics in Stillwater next week has been taking up my days. Evenings, of course, getting auctions ready so I can clear out some of my comics. We haven't been to see any movies. Our weekends have been spent working in the garage and trying to keep the crap I'm moving into the house from the garage overtaking everything. On the plus side, I've discovered lots of Ebay-able junk.
This last weekend we didn't do garage cleaning duty because Mike got a touch of puke-a-thon on Saturday night. I had intended for us to work in the garage on Sunday because we spent Saturday tidying the inside of the house. But Mike's sensitive stomach made him sleep a lot so I spent more time tidying. This weekend though...we're gonna kick some garage butt.
Last night Mike and I went to see Sarah McLachlan in concert at the Ford Center. It's the first time we'd been to the Ford Center and it seemed like a fairly decent venue. It was our second time to see Sarah McLachlan in concert. She was as good as I remembered although I must admit to not being that fond of the album she was touring for: Afterglow. Mostly I was underwhelmed by this album. I guess that's not too bad considering I've loved all of her other albums.
The concert was quite nice. We had floor tickets so were closer to the stage than the last time we saw her live. She played a decent mix of old and new material and the audience obviously adored her. Sadly she was just getting over laryngitis and the encore was limited to one song Ice Cream. Kind of a bummer but you have to understand.
Plans for this weekend include garage, seeing The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and celebrating Mother's Day. I still haven't bought any cards. Nor have I thought of a damn thing to buy Mike's mother. Maybe I should make him figure it out....
