Last Week's Questions

1. Do you like to read? How often do you take time out of your busy life to read?

I love to read. I don't get as much time as I'd like but I always have reading material with me. As a result, I end up reading whenever there's down time and I don't have to pay attention to anyone.

2. What kind of books (subject matter) do you like to read? Who's your favorite author? Why?

Fiction usually--fantasy, mystery, historical, science fiction, etc. I'm an equal opportunity fiction reader. My favorite author? Geez...that's tough. I honestly can't say I have one favorite author. I have a few I follow semi-faithfully and a few I buy everything they publish. Jonathan Carroll, Barbara Hambly, Robin Hobb, Nicola Griffith, David Sedaris all are must-buys. It's the same for comics. Some authors and artists I follow but wait to see what the project is before I commit and a select few I buy anything they do.

3. What are you reading right now? Do you like it so far? Why/Why not?

Reading my backlog of comics--various titles--and I just started Poppy Done to Death by Charlaine Harris. It's the first Aurora Teagarden mystery I've read but I love the way she writes and her mysteries are short and fun.

Bonus Question for Comments: What's your favorite book in the whole world? Why?

Tough question but if pressed I'd say Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Why? Because it entertains the hell out of me and I love Jane. She's plucky in an uptight, English kind of way.

This Week’s Questions

1. Do you like St.Patrick's Day? Why/Why not?

I neither like nor dislike St. Patrick's Day. I ignore it. It's a silly holiday.

2. Do you like Guinness? Why/Why not?

Don't know. Never tried it. I'm not much of a beer drinker.

3. Do you believe in the superstitous thingy about having to wear green on St.Patty's Day? Why/why not?

Nope. Had fun with it when I was a kid but that was to keep from getting pinched for not wearing green.

Bonus Question for Comments: Do you have a memorable St.Patty's Day story you wish to share with the class?

No. But E does.
