Weird day Friday. It was the day slated for the Winter Carnival at school. Not really much for me to do to prepare for it because Tracey's class has done the cupcake walk with Mrs. Maxwell's class for the past fifteen years. Essentially you walk around while music plays and when the music stops you sit and if your number is called you win a cupcake. Not too hard. And there are so many cupcakes donated they often pick eight numbers out of twelve. By the end of the evening, everyone was getting a damn cupcake there were so many left.

Tracey threw a small birthday party for me in the room after lunch. It was a surprise. I'm glad she kept it to just her kids because I wouldn't have been too thrilled to wear the Harry Potter glasses and birthday hat in front of Mrs. Maxwell's class as well. I got a Justice League birthday cake. I also received a sheep Pez dispenser and a t-shirt from www.ewephoric.com that says "got sheep?" Very keen.

After school we drove to mom's to get Cal. We ate a quick dinner and drove back to the school. Duncan walked Cal around while Mike and I did our turn at the sucker pull in Mrs. Garner's room. After our twenty minute shift was done, I went to the cupcake walk room and Mike took Duncan and Cal around the carnival.

In the cupcake room I basically stood around and did nothing. There were a lot of helpers for the cupcake walk and Mrs. Maxwell and her husband have the thing down to a science. The carnival ended by 8 pm and the room was broken down and tidied by 8:15.

Poor Mike was feeling sick. He and Cal had hung out in Tracey's room for about the last hour of the carnival. Cal and a sister of one of Tracey's students played with the toys and Mike felt nauseous. He puked soon after we got home and was up and down all night emptying the contents of his stomach. Hope it's not a virus 'cause I do not want to deal with puking kids.

The kids and I went to bed around 10:30 and all of us slept in today.
