The Weekend

I was a lazy slug and didn't blog all weekend. Was it because we were really busy? Unfortunately no.

Friday was a normal work/school day. Duncan had Tae Kwon Do and after we met Tracey for dinner at her favorite hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant on 10th Street. It's not my favorite but it's okay.

Saturday Mike and Duncan went to the Cub Scout Space Derby and raced their rocket ship. Mom, Cal and I went to Sam's and Target because sitting through the Space Derby races is excruciatingly boring. Duncan came in third place (better than he did at the Pine Car Derby) and the thing wasn't over until 1:30. I'm glad we skipped all but the last thirty minutes.

Saturday evening Gayle watched Cal while mom, Mike, Duncan and I went to see Elektra. It wasn't horrible. It wasn't great but it's worth a matinee price for sure. A less thin story would have served the movie better but Jennifer Garner was convincing as Elektra. It's not doing too well with the critics so I doubt there'll be an Elektra 2.

Sunday we met mom and my Aunt and Uncle for lunch at Zio's after church school. Dropped off and got my comics on the way home and I spent the afternoon tidying the computer room and washing a few loads of clothes. I also picked up a little in the living room. I'm fairly sure the computer room won't stay tidy for more than a few days but at least I'm happier in it.
