Wow! I'm posting in my blog. And it's not an entry answering questions. Wow again!

Let's see...last week was a busy one. School of course and Tae Kwon Do and my house is a pit and I haven't finished Christmas shopping and a ton of cookies still need to be made but I'm not stressed at all...really...honest...cool as a cucumber.

Friday the class went on a field trip to the mall and the Build-a-Bear Workshop. The trip was financed by the mother of the other special ed. teacher. She wanted the kids to get a bear and lunch in the food court so she ended up dropping $30 per kid. That was incredibly nice of her and quite an outlay of cash. The kids, of course, loved it. My charge for the day was one of our more difficult kids. She did okay. About as well as could be expected anyway. She did get to wait until the very last to build her bear due to having to stand against the wall in time out for being rude. But she didn't lose the trip and that's saying something. And, although it was close, she did get to take her bear home on Friday.

Today is Duncan's birthday party with his friends. We're meeting at a roller skating rink in Yukon at 3 for the party. I ordered a Lord of the Rings birthday cake at Albertson's (they make nice cakes) and we'll probably feed the kids a piece of pizza too. But the big event at the party will be skating. There's supposedly an area where small kids can skate so we'll probably let Cal skate too.

Before then, I need to pick up my comics and run to Target. I may also try to make some spritz cookies for the eight teacher gifts I must now supply since I am gainfully employed at the school. Tracey told me I could blow it off but I felt bad because I knew those eight people had already planned for giving the previous assistant a gift and I should reciprocate. I bought some holiday tins and plan on filling them with spritz cookies. Everybody likes spritz cookies after all.
