It's over. I must admit after I bought all of my presents I felt a lot less stressed. But it's still nice for everything to be done. Get to wait a year for the stress to hit me again.
The kids made a haul again. They definitely benefit from being the only grandkids. Now I have the monumental task of making room for the new items. Cal's kiddie drum set will go in the music room. I'm not sure that thing will survive very long anyway. He's used to beating on the real drums so when he plays the kid ones he tends to hit them pretty hard.
Duncan's big gift from us this year was an X-Box so that'll go in the computer room as well since that's where the gaming tv is located. It's larger than the Gamecube though, which is a bummer. I just love how compact the Gamecube is. We can store it in the cabinet under the tv stand but the X-Box won't fit too.
Mike and I got a lot of stuff from my mom who loves Christmas. She buys a ton for everyone. It's exasperating but she loves doing it so what can you do? Be a mean old bastard like my dad I guess. She doesn't buy much for him any more because he's so cranky about it.
Of everything I got I'm only going to have to exchange one shirt. It's a little too small--fits but is tighter than I like. Mom and I will go next week and exchange it for a size larger. Other than the size I liked it so she did good. She's finally paying attention to the kinds of shirts I like to wear.
Today we're going to hit Borders and check out their 50% off calendars. Usually I'm really good and get all of us a calendar for Christmas. I only got one for Cal this year horrible mom that I am. Then in the afternoon we may go see a movie while Gayle watches Cal. Monday I'll tackle the rest of the dirty clothes and start getting things squared away.
