This was certainly a busy weekend for us but the only thing I have to show for it is a few more spots painted on the house courtesy of Mike and a horribly messy living room.
One fun thing we did this weekend was watch my cousin Kelsey play two soccer games. Kelsey lives in Lawton but the league she's in travels to play some of their games. On Saturday we went to Dolese Park to watch her team play at 11 am. Sadly they lost but I got some good shots of Kelsey with the non-digital camera. I'm hoping they turn out well anyway.
After the game we went with her and my Aunt Gayle to eat lunch at Los Amigos and then they headed home. We spent our evening heckling Catwoman.
Today Kelsey had another game in OKC but this time it was near my mother's house at some fields right next to Lake Overholser. Today's game was against the championship team from last year. You could tell it too because these girls were good. They were fast, they handled the ball well and they were rough.
Kelsey's team scored the first goal within the first fifteen minutes. But after that they seemed to lose steam and the opposing team scored two goals in the first half and one goal in the second. I'm not sure what happened toward the end of the game but Kelsey's team kicked it into high gear and scored two more goals within the last ten minutes of the game. This tied the score at 3-3 and the girls were ecstatic. Needless to say the other team wasn't quite as happy with a tie as Kelsey's team was.
In two weeks they'll be playing in Norman and I told mom we should drive up for that game as well. I like watching Kelsey play soccer and it makes her happy when we show up so I think I can forego a day of painting for that.
