Nothing Much As Usual

Didn't blog yesterday about the day because I was feeling a little melancholy. Not a full-blown start of one of my cycles of depression but just a little down. The night before a friend of mine said something that got me to thinking. Never good for me. But last night another friend gave me some good advice and that helped. Now I just have to follow it. *sigh*

Yesterday not much was accomplished. I woke up feeling tired and cranky (didn't help the melancholy mood any) so I basically got through the morning and then after lunch took a long nap with Cal. By the time we woke up, it was 3:30 and I had to gather up Duncan's gear for Tae Kwon Do.

Hung out at mom's for my usual hour of TKD. Started proofing a story but my head wasn't in it so instead I watched While You Were Out. That's a good show to turn off your brain to.

Since I didn't prep anything for dinner we ate at the Chinese restaurant next to the Tae Kwon Do place. I like their food. I can get vegetable lo mein and then spice it up with red peppers. I used to ask them to make it spicy but they never made it spicy enough and since Cal likes to eat my noodles it made sense to just do it myself. Duncan even discovered that he likes the sweet and sour sauce that came with his sweet and sour chicken. He usually just eats the chicken and rice but last night he tried it and thought it was pretty darn good.

After dinner Cal and I headed home and Mike and Duncan went to Cub Scouts. Yeah, looks like I'll be subjected to three hours of chicken and boredom again this year. Oh well. I can always read my book.

The rest of the evening went as usual. Well there was that drag-it-out-of-me talk but it ended up being a good thing so that's okay.

Today we're going to run a few errands. I'm out of bar soap (expect for little hotel soaps) and almost out of toilet paper. We'll head to Sam's so I can pick up a huge box of pop tarts and possibly some antihistamines. Maybe being a warehouse type store they'll have a huge bottle of generic actifed. I'm so tired of only being allowed to purchase three no matter how many pills the package contains. I'm told it's helping curb methamphetamine crimes so I guess I should be a good citizen and not bitch.

Then home for more chores and it's Tae Kwon Do day again so I'll need to prep something for dinner. I'm thinking chicken tonight.
