Feels like a Monday

This will be a short week for Duncan. I'm sure he's thankful for that. It screws me all up though because I feel like today is Monday. I'm going to be off all week I just know it.

After walking Duncan to school this morning, Cal and I took a little time to tidy the front porch. It's been freshly primered so I figured it was about damn time I moved all the empty pots to the shed in the backyard. I never did get around to doing plants in pots this year.

While I was doing that, Cal let Max out of the backyard. In the past, I would have hopped in the car and chased the little shit down. But he's gotten out of the yard (or the house) a few times now and he always runs off down the street, peeing on everything in sight and then he returns home. Of course, I'm risking him getting hit by a car but it's better for my blood pressure.

Today Cal and I will be good and do chores. I've got a dirty clothes hamper full of clothes. After a long weeekend of no tidying, the living room looks like a tornado hit it. I'd like to get into Cal's room too and straighten it up. He likes to dump toys but doesn't seem to find the same satisfaction in picking them up. Go figure.

Okay, off to tidy.
