Another Errand Running Day

Once again I'm getting around to blogging about the day quite late. Next Friday is Cal's birthday and I decided getting him a kiddie bicycle would be a good gift. Who knew this was going to be such a tough gift to find.

We went to Toys 'R' Us because I figured they probably had a fairly good selection of kiddie-sized bikes. I was wrong. They had one. As with many of the bikes in the Toys 'R' Us bike section, it didn't have a price card on it. The price card you have to remove and take up front in order to pay and receive your bike. So I trudged over to a helpful Toys 'R' Us employee and asked him if he knew the price and if they had any more of the bike in stock.

He left and I waited. And waited. And waited. He finally returned and told me the price. I guess he had forgotten my second request because when I asked him about the availability of more bikes (meaning unassembled ones) he had to go off and look again.

I waited some more. And a bit more. And still more. The fucker never did get back so I got pissed off and wrenched the tiny bike down from its perch and stalked off to find my mom.

Duncan spent a horrible amount of time trying to decide on something to buy with his very own money. I was still pissed off about the lame Toys 'R' Us employee and I eventually hauled that fucking bike back over to the bicycles area and left it there.

I did end up spending money at Toys 'R' Us though. I picked up the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Playset, the one with Lucy Lawless as Xena, for $10. Suh-weet.

We checked Target for a tiny bike too but no luck there either. Then it was home, mom's and Tae Kwon Do. And that was my day.
