Nothin’ Much
Last night Duncan went to see Annie with the two grandmas so it was just Mike, Cal and I for the evening. Our plans to have mom watch Cal while we went to a movie fell through when Gayle asked mom to use Carey's ticket for Annie. Bummer.
We had a back up plan fortunately and rented Pieces of April. My choice because I had wanted to see it when it was at one theater last year in OKC. We never got around to seeing it though and it left after two weeks.
Pieces of April was a good flick. Very character oriented and sad and sweet. Patricia Clarkson was brilliant as April's mom. And you know what? Katie Holmes was quite good as April. If this kid keeps making smart choices for her movies she could have a lasting career.
Not much planned for today. Domestic Goddess duties and swimming. Hopefully the kids will keep the yelling to a minimum. They've been kind of loud this morning and are putting me a little on edge. Grrrrrr. Right now they're quiet. Wonder what's up with that? Should I be scared or thankful?
Thankful. Definitely.
