It’s Thursday!

This usually means it's comic book store day. Not sure if I'll get there today though. When you've got a huge backlog of comics to read, getting more to add to the pile doesn't really become that attractive of a prospect. There's always a little guilt attached to my comic buying because of it. Damn. That sucks.

Ah well, I'm in a book reading mode right now so the comics will have to continue to sit. What am I reading? Kushiel's Chosen by Jacqueline Carey. It's the second of a trilogy and is entertaining. She describes hair and eye color too often for my tastes though. And, like Laurell K. Hamilton, prefers "spill" far too much. Although I will admit she doesn't abuse it like Ms. Hamilton, thank goodness. Otherwise I'd have to keep a "spill" count for her books too.

On the agenda for today is more domestic goddessing. Hey, what can I say? It's my job. Gayle is going to come over in the afternoon to play with Cal and Duncan. I'll probably iron then. I've resolved not to let my ironing back up. The number of shirts I have right now I can knock off in no time.

Just had to stop for a minute and scream at the kids. I must admit that I'm looking forward to Duncan being gone for a week in August. Cal screams a lot less when Duncan's not around. *sigh* Some days I just want to shut myself in my room and not come out for several days.

Back now from more yelling. I am definitely ready for him to be gone for a week. Tell me I'll get through puberty.

I dented the hallway wall. Bummer.

Doing my bit to help....
