An Allergy Free Day
Hooray! I haven't had a horrible allergy attack today. This time yesterday I was in the midst of a nasty one. I was afraid I would be stricken today as well because I subbed at the school again in Tracey's incredibly cold room. I seem to have my worst allergic reactions to mold and if I'm really close to air conditioning ducts for any length of time I often have a horrible reaction. But so far I'm allergy attack free today.
Today was a long one. The kids were a little more wound up so I got to be mean Mrs. Hodge a lot today. The worst consequence was one kid losing recess so I wasn't *that* mean.
One funny thing the kids are doing lately is giving each other the ASL sign for stop at the drop of a hat. Sometimes one of them will use it when another kid is doing something that's bothering them but they also like to use it almost as if they're shooting someone a rude hand gesture. It's pretty damn funny. When one kid does it you get a flurry of copycat activity from the other kids so they end up looking like they're using obscure Sicilian gestures to tell each other off.
