Ditz Woman Strikes Again

So I'm back from four days away from home. I feel invigorated and ready to begin my duties as stay-at-home mom once again. My evil gallbladder escape hatch is looking and feeling great so I should be at the top of my game, right? Wrong.

What did I do this morning? We're running late as usual, which means no walking to school. So I grab my car key from the kitchen cabinet (I left it when I went on my trip so dad could drive my car--his was in the shop) and rush out the door.

We drop Duncan off at school and return home. I get out of the car and realize my car key isn't going to open the front door. Yes, I left the house with only one key. Cal and I try the garage and the door into the kitchen is bolted. Of course, as I'm typing this I remember that Mike put a spare house key in the garage. So I'm a super ditz.

Anyway I end up driving back to the school and getting Tracey's spare key so it all turned out okay. If that had failed I was going to drive to Mike's work and get his key. I'm glad I didn't have to do that because then I would have really felt stupid right now when I remembered about the spare key in the garage.

Yep, things are definitely back to normal.
