Another Movie

Since American Splendor isn't showing in any of the OKC theaters any more I really wasn't that much in the mood to go to a movie but I roused myself out of the stupor I was in yesterday and we went to see Lost in Translation.

I did want to see this movie. It stars Bill Murray along with the always good Scarlett Johansson and it takes place in Tokyo.

I was a little sad after it ended but that probably had more to do with the overall tone of the movie. Now don't get me wrong. It wasn't depressing. In fact there are some quite funny moments but when you're dealing with a story involving two people who don't really know who they are or what they want out of life you're bound to get a little down.

That said, I highly recommend this flick. The performances are fantastic, you'll laugh, you'll get a little depressed (or maybe that's just me) and you'll love the look at Tokyo life through the eyes of two people from very different walks of life searching for meaning in theirs.
