Back from Colorado

I arrived home last night a little after 10 pm. I had done nothing but be in a car for approximately eleven hours but I was still pretty whupped. I would have liked to fall right into bed but I'm too conscientious for my own good and did my Beyond Uber update for Monday. I ended up having a lot to update because the gal I asked to do Sunday for me didn't. *sigh*

Cal was asleep by the time I got home so I didn't get to see if he really missed me. I'm thinking he was just as content without me there. After all he had Mike and Duncan and Max. And Mike's mom and grandmother came over to help.

Duncan was still awake when I came in and I got a big hug from him. "I missed that mom smell," was his comment.

Mike was a good spouse and all the dishes and clothes were washed. I really didn't expect him to wash clothes but it was nice to come home to an empty clothes hamper. Now I've just got a few to wash (mostly mine) and a ton to fold.

I'm still trying to get back into the groove at home. Funny how four measly days away will throw you out of whack. I got Duncan to school on time but I've had the feeling all morning that I'm running late. Not that I was but it felt like that.

I'll try and write about the trip later today. Maybe Cal will take an extra long nap.
