Another Lazy Sunday
Didn't do much today although I had every intention of being good and washing clothes and doing other domestic chores. But, Mike's mom wanted to see Cal so she offered to watch him while we went to a movie and, ya know, that's hard to pass up.
So we went to see Dirty Pretty Things. It was either that or The Secret Lives of Dentists which also sounds good but it just started and will probably be around for at least a few more weeks. Dirty Pretty Things has been in the theater here for at least a few weeks and I figure it will be leaving soon to make way for some piece of schlock from Hollywood.
Dirty Pretty Things was really good. If you like movies that don't rush and have strong, interesting characters give this one a shot. It's a mostly bleak look at the lives of illegal immigrants in London but it's hopeful at the end which was nice because it could have ended on a total downer. The performances are oustanding and Audrey Tatou looked so much like Jean Simmons in this movie it was uncanny.
We then came home and I battled Duncan on Soul Calibur 2 for far too long. I'm thinking if I were a guy, frequent masturbation would help me really handle those controllers well. As it is my hands start to get really tired and my fingers ache so we take breaks so his old mom can recover.
Talim is my favorite character to play. She's really little and fast and can kick butt. Although this evening Duncan was eating my lunch with Ivy.
Oh, I finally found the BTVS: Chaos Bleeds game for the Gamecube. I'd been checking every store with Gamecube games for a couple of weeks now but nobody seemed to have ordered it. But Game Stop in Quail Springs Mall had some. Hooray! Duncan is the only who's played it but I'm gonna get in there and kick some vampire butt too.
