It's raining...cookies.

Our rain has returned and it's most welcome. I've noticed the Pacific Northwest fauna doesn't do well with too many dry days. So while E spent the day at MLA I puttered around the house and enjoyed the sound of rain.

Thanks to my lazy Sunday we now have four batches of Ranger cookies to eat. I wasn't sure how many batches E normally makes so I texted the question "single or double batch?" Her reply, "More." I took that to mean more than a double batch. I opted for four batches after my "triple?" didn't get a reply. Turns out she meant a double batch would be best. On the plus side I discovered that the mixer isn't quite big enough for four batches of Ranger cookies and we have a buttload of cookies for the next couple of weeks (the freezer is my friend).

Long Time No Update

We're finally getting our Spring sunshine. Duncan isn't happy about it. He prefers our rainy overcast days. I like both. The sun is a nice change and being able to get the kids at school out to a park doesn't hurt either.

Even though the weekend is supposed to be nice I'd dearly love to go see The Avengers. I didn't go opening weekend because I wanted to take the kids to see it as well. Hopefully we can fit in a showing on Sunday before I have to take them to Mike for the week.

We Survived

The Emerald City Comicon is offically over and I'm pooped. Cal was a trooper all weekend and only complained about sore feet once. Duncan ended up going both days with us. The lure of getting Streetpass people on his 3DS was too much to resist. We're all three very tired and not ready for school next week.

ECCC 2012

Emerald City Comicon weekend is here once again. It's been a three day con for the last two years but this year I can't make it to Friday's events. Cal's school has its yearly Talent Show and he's singing a song in it.

Tomorrow Duncan, Cal and I will get up bright and early and head down to the con for the day. Cal wants to go with me all weekend. We'll see after Saturday if he's still game for Sunday. Last year he was with me all day Saturday and by about 3 he was complaining about his aching feet.
